Application 2: Mother's Day/ T-shirts (End Up Slides) 5th Grades

  • The students were ready with their white T-shirts, cloth paints and brushes in order to design and colour their T-shirts.
  • The students drew some interesting shapes on their T-shirts and painted them.
  • The T-shirts were exhibited on the boards in the school corridors.
  • Then the students wrote poems for their mothers.
  • The students also drew some pictures in order to express their feelings about their T- shirts.
  • The T-shirts were sent home and the mothers were asked to express their feelings and thoughts about the T-shirts by writing on a paper.
  • Finally, the mothers' thoughts and feelings were read in the classroom and shared with the other students in the classroom.

Application 2:Mother's Day/Flower(End Up Slides)4th Grades

  • While we were doing the project, we felt very excited and happy from the beginning to the end of the project.
  • We were very proud and happy to create new things again. Moreover, it was very enjoyable to make flowers and write poems and letters for our mothers.
  • We thank our teachers again as they are always very helpful to us while we are doing such projects.

  • The t-shirts that the students colored were sent to their mothers.
  • We wanted them to write about how they feel when they got the handmade gifts.
  • The cards were sent to school and the students shared their mothers’ feelings about their special gifts.

Each student designed a flower by using craft paper. Then, we collected and brought them together to create a "Branch of Love" . We drew the pictures of these flowers and our love for our mothers. We  became very happy to share them with you.

Application 2: Mother's Day/ Flower ( To My Dear Mum) 4th Grades

At last the best moment of the activity. We had sent invitation cards to our mothers to come and visit us at our classes. Our mothers entered the classrooms while a beautiful mother song was playing and a beautiful slide of mothers' pictures were being shown in the classrooms. Then the students gave beautiful flowers to their mothers. The mothers read the letters on their flowers and they shared their feelings with the other mothers in the classroom.

  • The main materials that they were going to use for the projects were determined as newspaper, garbage bags,barbecue sticks.
  • The main materials and the other objects were chosen from the waste objects pool and started to work.
  • They have felt delighted when they saw their works.
  • They exhibited their projects on the hall.
  • They felt happy with recreation of waste objects.
  • They draw the pictures and showed them on the boards.
  • They wrote how they felt while they were working on their projects.
  • They took photos of their works.

Application 2: Mother's Day / T-shirt (Drawings) 5th Grade


  • The students were asked to draw the pictures of the T-shirts they had painted for their mothers. Each student drew the picture of her / his T-shirt. Then, they asked their friends what they were thinking about their pictures.
Ceren: "My T- shirt is the best of all."
Bartu: "My mother can wear this T- shirt when she goes walking at late hours of the day."

Aycan:" I am colouring a heart to give my mum."
Pınar: "I love my mum very much."
    Arçil:" It was a bit hard to paint a T- shirt that will suit my mother's size."

It was very proud of us to hear that everybody liked the activities that we had done for the Mother's Day. Besides, the best side of our activities was the comments of our mothers. They also shared their feelings of happines and excitement by writing letters to us. In their letters each mother thanked firstly their children and then each member of Yakacık Balkanlar Private Primary School as they gave their children the chance of participating in that kind of activity.

  • The students were asked what they thought about "Painting a T-shirt for Mother's Day" activity.
  • They were wanted to write poems about the feelings for their mothers.
  • They shared their poems with their friends by reading them aloud in front of the class.
  • The T-shirts and the letters were packed in order to be given to the students' mothers in the Mother's Day. 



  • We wrote the best things for our mothers.

      I can write lots of things about my mum.

    • The students drew some pictures on their T-shirts and then colored them.
    • While they were drawing and painting the pictures on their T-shirts, they shared their ideas.
    • After finishing painting, they wore them to see how they looked on them.
    • Finally, they exhibited their T-shirts on the boards in the school corridors.

    As the teachers firstly we showed our students how they could make a rose, jacinth, gillyflower form papers. while they were making the flowers out of papers, they were also told the tips of designing and making these flowers. the students started their studies by choosing the right color of papers.
    they felt very happy as they saw that they became successful while they were creating the flowers. finally, the class looked as a flower garden.

  • They wanted to present their products by drawing.
  • The drawings were displayed on the boards.

  •  Pınar and Esin: We did our dolls by using string as our mothers did in the past.
     Ceren and Cansu: We tried to do our dolls by using balloons but it didn't work. So we drew the picture of it.

    Arçil and Eren: It was very good to work together.
      Didem and Hande: The birds will be afraid of our picture doll.
